Things to do Outside the City of San Antonio

Ok, I’m not really going to make every post with a rider’s name, but I’d like to make these suggestions for Steph, and then I’ll expand them into a less personal format later, lol.

Besides the other post(s), for you guys:

1.) Oh, County Line BBQ on I-10 past Wurzbach has a live show on Wednesday evenings, about 7 PM, all Summer.

2.) Do a Hill Country Route through small towns.  Texas has wildflowers in Spring! Go to Boerne, Welfare (and see the Guadalupe crossing), Comfort, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Llano, Willow City Loop (!), Enchanted Rock, Llano, Luckenbach, The LBJ ranch and Lady Bird’s wildflower center, Johnson City, Marble Falls, Blanco, Wimberly, San Marcos, Gruene*, New Braunfels.

3.) Gruene might be a separate trip.  Of course, see the legendary Gruene Hall, with live music every(?) evening and some afternoons; Dave’s pick for Mexican food is Cantina del Rio, and there is also Gristmill.  Others, in Gruene and New Braunfels are listed by Trip Advisor, including Naeglin’s house of streudel.
